Personal Onsite Wellness Assessment Individual Physical Assessment: The Personal Assessment entails a complete Personal Wellness Profile (PWP) screening. The PWP is a comprehensive health screening measuring total blood lipids (Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Glucose, and Triglycerides), blood pressure, grip strength, basic strength testing, body composition, flexibility, a sub-max VO2 test, a lung function test, an overall wellness ranking and identification of health risk for lifestyle diseases. Included in your PWP is the identification of positive health habits, personal suggestions for individual improvement, and an evaluation of your individual fitness level, heart health, stress management, nutritional management, and personal recommendations on preventive exams. One Personal Training Session: The Personal Training Session includes an individual exercise prescription and program in your workplace or in your home. The one-hour personal training appointment will instruct you in safe effective exercises based on your PWP results. Exercise prescriptions vary depending on your health history and personal fitness goals. Program Cost:
Complete Wellness Assessment We also offer a complete wellness assessment at our facility. The only preparation necessary is to fill out a health risk questionnaire and fast for 12 hours. This assessment identifies health risks such as heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. You will have a complete lipid profile from a "finger stick" that identifies total cholesterol, HDL breakdown, LDL, glucose and tryglicerides. There are a few fitness tests evaluating strength, cardiovascular endurance, and flexibility. This assessment gives you an 18-page print out of recommendations to get started. Program Cost:
On-Site Personal Training Most of us recognize the importance of exercise; but few know how to start and maintain an exercise program that will benefit one for life. Corporate exercise classes break down these barriers and bring the exercise program and instruction to you while at work. The Hendrick Corporate Wellness Team offers exercise-training sessions throughout the day in your work environment. We will design a program that focuses on your individual needs, abilities and resources. A program might include resistance bands, free weights, exercise balls, or other equipment readily available in your own office. Classes using exercise ball s target and strengthen core muscle groups in the hips, abdomen, and lower back. All classes will work on improving balance, coordination, flexibility, posture, range of motion and muscle strength. You will work directly with an exercise specialist to ensure that exercise is performed correctly for maximum benefit. The Hendrick Corporate Wellness Team offers thirty-minute or one hour training sessions at your place of employment. Sessions include one or two classes a week for four weeks. We offer a variety of packages including a nutritional component added in to sessions of interested participants. The benefits of strength training for adults are well documented. To remain active and engage in life more fully add strength training, using resistance bands or free weights, to your daily activities.
